JSA Architects was founded in 1983 with a simple intention: to deliver design excellence and a level of service that earns long-term trust
Our Story
Four decades on, that intention still defines us.
Our practice has been built on relationships; with clients who rely on us project after project, and with the talented people who choose to grow their careers here. Some of those clients have been with us since the beginning. That kind of loyalty isn't won with a single building; it's earned across many.
Across forty years, we've worked through every major sector of construction — retail, logistics, residential, healthcare, education, heritage, and more. That breadth has given us a deep understanding of how different buildings need to function, perform, and endure. It has also taught us that great architecture is never just about how a building looks on opening day.
It's about how it performs - financially, operationally and sustainably - for decades after.
The industry has changed enormously since 1983. Design, construction, regulation, sustainability … all of it has evolved, and so have we. We continue to invest in the technology, the training, and the thinking that keeps our work relevant, resilient and ready for what's next.
What hasn't changed is the way we work: we keep our clients' interests, commercial, operational, and reputational, at the centre of every decision we make.
That's what brings clients back. And that, more than anything, is the measure we trust.
What Sets Us Apart
-
Most practices lead with aesthetics. We lead with outcomes.
Since 1983, JSA has built its reputation on combining design excellence with commercial intelligence — designing buildings that don't just look the part, but perform financially, operationally, and over time.
We consider lettable space, long-term performance, and return on investment from the very first sketch, so your project earns its place on both the skyline and the balance sheet.
-
A great building is only as good as the team that delivers it.
Our directors and associates lead from the front, uniting design teams, contractors, and consultants with clarity and purpose.
We anticipate obstacles before they become problems, we pick up the phone and ask the direct question.
The result is steady, confident progress from day one to handover, with fewer surprises and stronger outcomes.
-
Some of our clients have been with us since 1983. That kind of loyalty isn't won with a single building, it's earned through honest delivery, transparent communication, and a genuine commitment to protecting our clients' interests at every stage.
Repeat work is the truest measure of our success, and the reason ambitious developers and organisations come back to JSA when results matter most.
“Henderson Park (formally Green Property) have continued to engage JSA Architects in the design of a number of logistic /industrial projects. The service and commitment provided by JSA Architects has always been extremely efficient, cost effective and diligent in all respects”

Our Team
JSA is led by three Directors - Martha O'Neill, Graham Cole, and Robin O'Sullivan - supported by Consultants, Associate Directors and a highly experienced team across architecture, technology and project delivery.
The practice is structured for clarity: clear lines of decision-making, technical depth at every stage, and continuity from first sketch to final handover.
We invest in our people because the quality of our work depends on the judgement of those who deliver it. Listening, mentoring, and shared learning aren't perks here — they're how the practice has stayed strong for forty years.
