JSA Architects were appointed as Project Architects for the development of further logistics and warehousing units at Moneenalion Commons Upper, Baldonnell Business Park, Dublin 22, for Mountpark (MLEU).
The site forms part of Phase 2 of the Mountpark development at Baldonnell Business Park, adjacent to Casement Aerodrome. The Camac River runs along the south-eastern boundary between Clonlara Road and the site. Development was constrained by the aerodrome’s transitional surface and significant flood mitigation requirements, including the diversion of the Camac River and the creation of a series of swales.
The scheme provides additional pedestrian routes along the Camac River, encouraging employee exercise and contributing to a pleasant working environment.
Unit C was purpose-built for Mountpark (MLEU) and Home Store + More, with both units designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
Units F and G
Construction of Units F and G at Mountpark Baldonnell commenced in 2022, delivering 166,576 sq ft of high-quality speculative industrial and logistics space. The units are located on self-contained sites with dedicated service yards, loading docks, perimeter fencing, ancillary offices, car parking, totem signage and associated site development works, including ESB substations with switch rooms.
The units were completed in 2023. Unit F has been leased to DSV to support the further development of its healthcare sector operations, while Unit G has been leased to Rexel Energy Solutions Ireland and Kellihers Electrical, enabling Rexel to continue its leadership in the electrical and renewables markets.
The Mountpark development at Baldonnell incorporates extensive landscaping, planting and a running track throughout the scheme. Units F and G are the first buildings in Ireland to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
