Burnell Square comprise of two blocks, Block 1 part of an urban block ranging in heights from 4 to 7-storeys with an 8- storey feature corner comprising of 152 apartments with balconies and Block 3 comprising of 103 apartments with retail at ground floor.  They were the first apartment blocks built in the Northern Cross Urban Centre and planned around a central courtyard to form an urban block.
