Completed in August 2024, the Blackhall Place Student Accommodation development involved the refurbishment, structural alteration, and extension of three existing buildings (Blocks A, B, and C) to deliver enhanced, modern student living facilities in a central Dublin location.

The project focused on the reconfiguration of internal layouts to improve the arrangement and quality of bedroom clusters, alongside significant upgrades to the existing building fabric. Works included alterations to elevations and the integration of contemporary design interventions within the existing structures.

A key feature of the scheme was the extension of Block C, which incorporated the addition of a new fifth floor, along with increased floor areas from ground to fourth floor level. These interventions enabled improved capacity and functionality while maintaining coherence with the existing buildings.

Commencing in 2023, the development demonstrates the project team’s ability to successfully deliver complex refurbishment and extension works within an occupied urban context, upgrading existing assets to meet modern student accommodation standards.
